About Me

As awesome as it would be to go by a cool Internet persona, I don't have one (unless you count my gamer name, which of course I'll list below... and if you call me that you instantly win some serious Internet-nommage).

I'm Bri. Brianne truly, but since people tend to say Briann-AH I cut out that awkward step and just go with the nickname. I will let it be known that I am not a Porche ;)

Born and raised in Arkansas, I moved to Idaho in 2009, just a few weeks after marrying the Hubs. I love it up here, I really do. We don't usually get a lot of snow in AR, so the winters here are beautiful (dangerous, but beautiful). And who doesn't love breathing in the summer? I enjoy it; taking a nice deep breath without needing to wring out my lungs...

I am a Christian. Plain and simple. I am very open to chatting about it with anyone, but I make a point to be polite and only speak when spoken to. It is my sincere hope that simply being there for someone in any way I can will help facilitate that conversation, and I will not force my thoughts on anyone, even if I do believe them to be correct (and what type of follower would I be if I didn't, right?).

This gal is on a weight-loss journey. Right now? I'd like to lose 10 lbs. I could stand to lose 13x that much, but I'm setting my goal small.

I adore music. I've learned to appreciate music I formerly couldn't stand, so I don't currently know a genre I hate, though I certainly have those I love and tend to stick with. I am currently in a band, and it's one of the best things to ever happen in my life.

Nerd: I Married Into It. Truth be told I'd have been a gamer girl in high school if I'd had the funds and opportunity. It wasn't until I married the Hubs that my eyes were opened to the many awesome PC games and a wider array of consoles besides my (super awesome) SNES. I'll probably always have a place in my heart for Minecraft. I tend to go by Myriad Silvre in MMOs and on Steam (and would on Minecraft as well but made my account before multi-player was a thing).

Foodie? Not really, but only due to ignorance. I love tastes, and am pretty open about trying new foods and exploring food culture, though again I have my stand-bys: Mexican and Asian (and an overflowing love of sushi) tend to make me a happy harpy.

What else? Erm, Sagittarius (born 3 months premature). Bi-racial (though I prefer tri-racial). Writer. Lover. Learner! I wish school were free and ungraded, because I highly enjoy being taught new things. It's what I hope will drive me to discover new recipes and exercise methods.

I'm very emotional. Part of that comes with the ovaries, and part of it comes with the genes. I'm not fond of the fact I cry easily, but it happens and we move on. I also have quite the anxiety ... I don't want to say 'disorder' because I feel that would be making light of those who are truly afflicted. But if I let my brain wander, I do tend to worry to the point of headaches, nausea, and fear. So a blog should keep my mind busy, yes?

Can't think of anything else, and perhaps this is enough already.
